Barbara Winter de Melo Lemos
Barbara Winter de Melo Lemos, affectionately known as Babi, is a dynamic and culturally astute professional originally from Brazil. She made her way to the United
States in 2017 to pursue her undergraduate degree at Carleton College, where she studied Political Sciences & International Relations, Cross-Cultural Studies, and
Environmental Studies. Babi recently graduated with a Master of Business
Administration, specializing in Sustainability and Environmental Compliance, from
Southern New Hampshire University.
Babi's career is marked by a multitude of global engagements. She has gained invaluable insights from bicultural political systems in New Zealand under the mentorship of Māori leaders, investigated the introduction of gasified cookstoves in Ethiopia as a healthier alternative to charcoal consumption, and supported Indigenous-led transformative tourism in Peru. In her leisure time, Babi enjoys snowboarding, biking, hiking, swimming, camping, and discovering new eateries. She also dedicates considerable time to volunteering for the rescue and rehabilitation of animals.
